Nestled in the heart of Wichita just the east part of downtown is the brick-lined streets and historic lampposts are a collection of converted brick warehouses that dates back to the late 1800s. Built with brick and native limestone accents, the distinctive architectural features define the whole personality of Old Town. With more than 100 businesses, Old Town has become the prime destination for its shops, theaters, clubs, restaurants, museums, and stores.
The old town is a busy area of repurposed 19th-century warehouses. It is known for restaurants serving tapas and sushi to southern BBQ, plus cocktail bars and lives music venues like The Brickyard. Artifacts at the Museum of World Treasures include ancient Roman coins, Civil War weapons, and a section of the Berlin Wall, and there are vintage locomotives at the Great Plains Transportation Museum.

Great Plains Transportation Museum
The Great Plains Transportation Museum is to preserve and convey the amazing history of railroading in the Great Plains through acquisition, restoration, research, exhibition as well as education. The museum displays a wide array of railroad equipment.
Indoor exhibits such as railroad prints, tools, signs, and other artifacts including a mock-up mechanical stoker used for training steam locomotive personnel.

Public at The Brickyard
An all-inclusive farm-to-table eatery for everyone in the family. Adjacent to Brickyard, Old Town’s premier outdoor music venue was first opened in 2012 for dinner serving fresh and regionally sustainable ingredients to create their great take on the flavors of local cuisine.
